Wine Details

Lot 347 is all honeysuckle and melon on the nose. Across the palate, orange sherbet and sassafras notes are counterbalanced with zesty minerality, providing a perfect balance of fruit and mineral notes. Perfect poolside and party wine, and also makes for a delightful AM treat.

Lake County is simply becoming a "go-to" appellation for CHW for not only their fantastic expressions of some diverse and delicious varietals but also the great values they represent. This wine is the continuation of a program we have been running for a few years now with a Lake County grower who thought that selling his high-quality fruit to larger companies (who just back-blended it into more innocuous cuvées and still paid him the same price as the lower quality fruit) was, ahem, “problematic.” Of course, after winemaker Sam saw the dirt, we were convinced to partner up with this gentleman to bring you some fantastic Lake County wines.

While I would not rate this wine as highly as I do #390, I would say if one is looking for a dessert wine you have found what you are looking for. I would chill it on the high side & it can be just short of a great value ice wine.

Smooth, sweet, buttery, low acidity, and goes great in the afternoons or after a meal. My wife is a huge fan.

This wine is not a dry Riesling.....nor is it a super sweet Riesling but it tends to the sweeter side. It is well balanced medium bodied wine with very pretty floral fruit. It has honeysuckle upfront but finishes with nice citrus notes. It would pair well with strongly flavored cheese, a salad, any thai food or fruit based desert. Super good value.

This was a super sweet Riesling. I tend to like mine a little more dry, but totally agree with the other review, if you like dessert wines - you'd like this. Still a good value, but I'd have it as a dessert rather than trying to pair it with food.

Smells of wet wool, but the flavor is much better. Peachy, viscous. Almost like a dessert wine. Fresh and bright with a clean finish.
