Wine Details

Pristine aromas of lime blossom and lemon curd mix with mango to create a complex and compelling nose. The palate starts round and fruity, with mandarin orange making its way to a crisper finish of grapefruit and lime zest. A deliciously refreshing and pure expression of Sauvignon Blanc.

Lake County is simply becoming a "go-to" appellation for CHW for not only their fantastic expressions of some diverse and delicious varietals but also the great values they represent. This wine is the continuation of a program we have been running for a few years now with a Lake County grower who thought that selling his high-quality fruit to larger companies (who just back-blended it into more innocuous cuvées and still paid him the same price as the lower quality fruit) was, ahem, “problematic.” Of course, after winemaker Sam saw the dirt, we were convinced to partner up with this gentleman to bring you some fantastic Lake County wines.

The initial aromatic experience is very grapefruity. It tastes fruity with a dry finish. A perfectly refreshing wine for a summer’s day.

Oooh, that’s good. Pairs beautifully with forsemary salom and roaste vegetables.

Light on the palate with a hint of citrus with a slightly tangy finish. Refreshing on the palate. Great paired with fish.

Pulled the cork on this tonight and discovered an easy drinking CA Sauvignon Blanc. Moderate acidity and a flavors of melon mark this wine. The finish is short and the mouthfeel a bit thin. While not acidic enough for our sushi pairing tonight, it will do just fine on ice during the hit summer. At $13 it's nothing special value-wise.

A very balanced wine and super drinkable. There are notes of green grass and blossom on the front palate and a lingering crispness. This wine would pair well with summer salads, cheese plates and most asian foods. Buy more than 1 bottle - it is a great summer wine.
