Field Blends are the result of a certain way of propagating vineyards in early 20th century California Viticulture wherein various vines were planted in a vineyard and the underperformers had their heads lopped off to be replaced by budwood from the best performers. Our Field Blends are a delicious interpretation of this age-old concept. Lot 339 combines Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre for a tasty California spin on these famous Rhone varietals. This wine is the best of the old-world and the new, the classic and the updated…Purity of essence if you will. A phenomenal buy at $16.

Too bad this wine is sold out. It is a terrific blend for everyday drinking and the lack of harsh tannin makes it perfect for mixed company in a casual atmosphere. Bright fruit followed by some complexity but a smooth finish.

A top value table wine. If you missed this one, you missed a real good one.

I was not in love with this one right out of the bottle even when a used a aerator. It really needs a lot of time to settle down. Not sure if the alcohol is what overwhelms the taste upon first pour; but, what a great reward afterwards. Lots of earthy tones, and a great and long finish. Tastes like a $40-50 bottle.

Very good value. Great with steak, pasta or cheese. Have ordered 3x and continue to enjoy each bottle. Highly recommended.

Great blend of grapes, wonderful flavor, not too big not too small, goes with lots of appetizers, seafood and many meat dishes.
Has become the "go to" drinking wine for daily use.

Tasting notes are spot on. A great value and quite enjoyable. I was lucky enough to have purchased it in a sampler select a pack... and wasn't disappointed at all.

We are not usually fans of any blend made with Syrah, but this is definitely an exception. This is a full bodied wine that is very easy to drink and like. Goes great with a meal or just as an evening sipping wine. At the sale price it was almost larceny!
