Wine Details
Minty dark chocolate, cassis, cedar, black cherry and red rock – this is what made Coonawarra famous and what I love about the region. The palate is bursting with black fruit, chocolate and licorice, and finishing in a wave of black cherry and red rock riding perfectly integrated tannins and graphitic minerality. This wine is delicious now but will develop beautifully in the bottle as well for another 12-15 years.

Rymill is one of a handful of James Halliday Five Star-rated producers for the Coonawarra region of South Australia, where they’ve been producing wine since 1974. Located on the Limestone Coast, the Coonawarra region is world renowned for its combination of terra rossa soils over limestone bedrock, and its relatively close proximity to the Australian coast makes it an ideal climate for both Cabernet and Shiraz. If you like Heitz Cellar's Martha’s Vineyard Cabernet, you’ll love this Cabernet. 94 points James Halliday.
