Lot 689 comes to us from a household name, made by an acclaimed winemaking team at an estate that has been prominently featured in just about every wine publication and constantly finds itself listed in one “best of” list after another year after year. Produced from two single vineyard lots, aged in 40% new French oak, and sold in the tasting room under the estate’s Reserve label for $30+, this is an absolutely sublime expression of what the best of Sonoma has to offer (and already has a 90+ score from Spectator to boot).
I’m not a Chardonnay drinker, but this might be the best one I’ve ever had. Oak is there, but not overpowering. Crisp and citrusy, excellent wine!
This is one of my favorite CH chardonnays. Notes of apples and pears, well-balanced. Enjoyable alone or with food.
Wow. Cameron Hughes never disappoints. A new favorite. Will purchase more.
A nice light Chardonnay
Love the fruit front and dry back. This pairs well with food and was a hit over the holidays. Will buy again!
Not bold enough for me
Maybe too subtle for me. My taste is more bold, not the nuance in this lot.
A Perfect wine with an email keep up the good work Cameron Hughes
Good balance between oak and fruit Buttery
Excellent Sonoma Chardonnay
Light oak, lovely fruit and well structured wine. Love it!
Well balanced, fresh and fruity and lightly Oakes! A good value Chardonnay.
Christmas Dinner Wine
I enjoyed it very much with my special Christmas dinner and it met the challenge. It went well with the herb stuffed turkey breast.
