Wine Details
Opens with aromas of pepper, acacia flower, and graphite. Bone dry on the palate, with good tannins and delicately inflected blackberry and plums. A lively, chiseled wine with nice fresh acidity and great length – the clean, bright flavors with chocolatey black fruit underpinning will be sure to keep you coming back for more. It’s just beginning to open up, so I recommend an hour decant before drinking.

Washington state continues to surge upward as a premier winegrowing region. However, the cost of doing business up there isn’t quite that of the North Coast, so there are still terrific opportunities to be found on Cabernet. Enter Lot 628 - sourced from a single vineyard planted to silt-loam soils of one of the oldest wineries in the Walla Walla Valley (with perhaps more Cabernet growing experience than anyone else in the entire state), the quality of winemaking here is first class, and I was able to get it for an incredible price.
