Great Blend of 5 diff grape varieties
Not sure when I bought this from Cameron, but it's been at least 3 or 4 years ago now. But I came across 3 bottles of this, that had been setting in the back corner of my wine room downstairs for some time now. Just opened up a bottle and I am quite impressed. Initially after opening first bottle, was earthy notes along with blue berry . Not overly inky, but def has great color and great legs at 14.3% alcohol. The longer it decants, the better it seems to get, as I'm writing this review as I'm sipping on the first glass. I'm glad I waited a few years before opening. Cheers, Trent
I was sucked in by the crazy concoction of varietals in this wine. I generally like NorCal Meritages too, so this was an easy call. Good stuff.
Goes well with chocolate truffles
Pulled this one from the back of the cooler and enjoyed it with friends while sampling a few different types of truffles. My notes say the wine had a 'complementary chocolate taste'. It was a while ago, but I guess I meant it complemented the truffles.
OK value for the price
Nothing jumped out at me when drinking this other than just another good value for the quality from CH Wine.
Can't beat the price.
Haven't had that many bottles of Meritage. If this is typical, I will be trying more.
Good value for the price.
Love blends from CH
Some blends that Cameron sources have been incredible, however I haven’t had one that I disliked. This one is solid, very enjoyable.
Wish I had more
First time trying a blend and loved it. Was not wimpy or light and had nice substance, smooth.
Delicious for Everyday Sips
Great red. Full bodied, and dark fruit after tones. Great every day kinda wine.
