Intense, dark garnet color. It explodes from the glass with spicy blackberry and plum notes, blue flower perfume, and pungent cigar smoke.  Long and sumptuous across the palate with blackberry and cherry perfectly pitched against sweet tobacco and leather notes. It’s incredibly persistent with well integrated but melting tannins. Tremendous structure and 20 year aging capability belie the perfectly approachable now nature of the wine.
