When I first bought this lot, in 2013, it was fantastic. But when I opened a bottle this past June, ugly. August, getting better but no desire to open another. Now late October 2015, let's try another one. No decant, it's back, as good or better than ever.
Again thanks Cam for your advise, celler it and give it time. It's alive and constantly evolving.

Wish I Had Bought More
Bought ONE of these when CH had a big wine sale about a year ago. After allowing it to sit (very patiently) in the rack I decided to take it along to my favorite Italian BYO restaurant. What a treat. I would agree with the other reviewer's comment about not wasting the wine on someone who cannot tell the difference. The only problem is I did not buy more when I had the chance!

Worth every dime.
While I wish this was on the Labor Day sale, I'm not going to say it's not worth every penny of that $39 price tag. Excellent example of a Brunello. I should have ordered more of this one!

Great Value
You will not find a comparable wine at such a low price

The Real Deal
Any brunello under 40 dollars is a steal...most are 50 and up. A genuine brunello in the 30s? If you could get that 10 years ago was a steal then! And this is the real stuff. This in not super-juicy California-style fruit bomb, nor is Brunello supposed to be. It's complex, firm, deep, with real length and aging power. Do not waste this on drinkers who won't know the difference. Buy a few or more, lay them down, and save for a special occasion. This is a 60 dollar Brunello in the 20s--no kidding.

ditto what Paul said
The price almost scared me away too, but so glad I took the chance. This is definitely a wine to stock up on so you can impress your high-minded friends 15-20 years from now. But if you can't wait and need to sneak a bottle now, you'll find it's worth every penny already - and clearly it is going to get much better. I've recommended this to all my friends who "really" know wine.

OMG this wine is great
I have resisted buying lots over $28.00 last year and $29.00 this year. So at $39.00 no way, I don't want to taste how good you are but...winter sale 35% off! okay I'll try some. It is so good I just had to order 2 more cases. Be warned if you buy this lot. The Holy Grail of taste has moved way up.

Great Brunello
This is what a Brunello should be, rich and thick. All the flavors are there. The reason i for the price is small production, big demand!

Great food pairing
A great value for a Brunello and a great easy to drink wine. It has some smoke and leather on the front with a very soft finish. It would pair well with grilled pork or steak, any pasta or risotto.
