Lot 774 is farmed, sorted, and crafted from the ground up to stand toe-to-toe with any of the Valley’s coveted cult classic Cabs. And it most certainly does! Incredibly powerful aromas of brambly blackberry fruit and purple florals along with spiced plums leap from the glass, accompanied by toasty oak spices. Plush, powerful, and teeming with concentrated black fruit, ripe plum, and currants. With an impressive structure of elongated, robust tannins balanced by a core of juicy acidity, don’t be afraid to cellar a handful of bottles for several years, though, we wish you luck in trying to keep your hands off this one! In short, this is a Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon for the ages, and one that could easily take a place as a showpiece among any serious cellar collection.
