The nose shows sweet cigar smoke and leather notes with a palate featuring intense, dark cherry fruit and great structure and mouthfeel. Very fine tannins carry plum, fat currant, and brown sugar notes through the finish. Still evolving.
This concentrated, deep purple syrah has a substantial old vine character effortlessly blending chocolate, anise/fennel and spice with notes of blackberry and black currant all framed by vanilla notes from new American oak.
Purple fruit and strong aromas of pepper and spice from the Tempranillo that makes up a large portion of the wine. The Tempranillo adds structure and fine tannins on the palate and frames the jammy blackberry fruit from the Grenache.
