Aromas of rose petals, blood orange and grapefruit jump from the glass. In the mouth, blood orange, grapefruit and white peach mingle with sappy, succulent fruit; all combining to a finish that has freshness and mouth-watering acidity. This is a delicious bottle of wine that defines what we love about Provence rosé. Spring is here!
This 19th century farmhouse sits on 200 hilly acres divided between vineyards and oak forests in the south of France, just an hour’s drive to Saint-Tropez. The proprietor is American businessman Tom Bove who made a name for himself with his previous Provence estate and winery, Chateau Miraval, when he sold it to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. At La Mascaronne, one of the things he loves most is the rocky soil, rich in limestone which provides that backbone of steely minerality you taste in the wines.
