Rich, ruby red in the glass with delineated aromas of red fruits, sour cherries, and wild roses haloed by a kiss of cinnamon. Gorgeous terroir-defined notes of soft leather, cocoa nibs, and eucalyptus take you back to your favorite Tuscan village. The stunning entry showcases a palate of dried cherries, cola, graphite, and violets riding in expertly balanced acidity and fine tannins. The finish is worth the price of entry alone - long, dry, terroir dominated that literally commands you to savor each momentous sip.

We did it again. We present to you a coveted Super Tuscan Italian jewel of a wine that comes from years of relationships with critically acclaimed winemakers and their proprietors in the Toscana wine-growing region, the most ancient wine-producing since the 8th century BC and arguably the BEST. So, want to know about this wine? We thought so!
Lot 873 2017 Super Tuscan comes to us from a 200-year, multi-generational winemaking family in Tuscany known the world over for their exceptional quality, commitment to the craft, and undeniable leadership of the region. A brief refresher for our newest members: Tuscany’s signature red grape has always been Sangiovese, but in the 1970s, some talented local winemakers became fed up with existing wine laws that prohibited them from using non-indigenous grapes like Merlot, Cabernet, and Syrah. These innovation-driven winemakers began quietly experimenting with “unsanctioned” grapes (which thrive in the Tuscan climate), and the quality of the wines was so good that the governing laws of the Tuscan region were amended, creating the Indicazione Geografica Tipica or “IGT” classification to distinguish these outstanding nontraditional reds. Today these Super-Tuscan wines are routinely on the “Best of The Year” critics lists and as such consistently sell in the triple digits. This is the case with Lot 873, under its winery label it sells for well over $100 per bottle. At $25 a bottle, this wine is nothing short of a steal.
We bought every drop we could get our hands on, not simply because the wine comes from an indisputably iconic Tuscan winery, but because the 2017 vintage is also regarded as a “must-have” for investors and a “marvel” by most major wine critics. That said, we only have enough cases to satisfy a small portion of our list, so shop accordingly.
