On the nose of this Sonoma Stunner, you’re warmly greeted by an expressive bouquet of blackberries, crushed gravel, and baking spice before being introduced to complimentary cigar box and tobacco notes. The medium purple color bursts forth on the pour, inviting you to indulge in its juicy-but-not-jammy palate before bringing in the tobacco notes, new leather, and black plums to play. Mid-range acidity and small, polished tannins bring you to a barrel-kissed finish with nicely delineated vanilla, raspberry, and allspice.

CHW Confidential
Lot 864 2019 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel is an amazing wine from one of the best Zin-producing regions in the state. If you’ve seen classic, gnarled Old World style Zin vines you know there’s nothing quite like the romance and emotion they evoke and Lot 864 captures all of that and more. Zinfandel is well-loved for its boldness, structure, and daresay sexy character. As a stand-alone wine it is easy to drink, and pairs well with anything you’re pulling off the grill.
We were lucky enough to get this wine from a major producer out of Sonoma County, with a sweet deal on this high-end juice. Bottles from this AVA can go upwards of $30, making it a steal for you at just $18 per bottle.
