The nose practically leaps out of the glass with delineated gooseberries, white peach, lime zest, cut grass, and white florals. The entry is a touch rounded for a Sauvignon Blanc; softer with the acidity than most, and perfectly weighted showcasing further lime, green herbs, and a kiss of ginger spice. The finish is dry, clean, and herbaceous, with a persistent length and excellent minerality. A perfect solo sipper on its own, but also a highly versatile food pairing.

CHW Confidential
Wine grapes have been planted in the Dry Creek Valley for well over a century. Historically a rural backwater occupied by family-owned farms and a handful of wineries, not much is different in modern times (and the locals like it that way) – still as rural as it's ever been (with just one deli and no traffic lights), this humble Sonoma sub-AVA has become world-renowned thanks to its two calling cards: Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc.
Lot 810 comes to us from a tiny producer in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley, located on the eastern banks of Dry Creek (which itself is a tributary of the Russian River). Their white wines are known for possessing amazing aromatics to go with pitch-perfect fruit profile, and today’s release is no different – produced by a winemaker with over 30 years of experience (over half of it in Dry Creek and the rest in New Zealand, Stags Leap, and Oakville among other places), the elegance and finesse of this wine is abundant in spades, and the pedigree obviously couldn’t be higher.
