Beautifully long legs with decent hangtime, you're greeted by wonderfully complex aromatics of lychee, rose petal, honeyed ginger, and orange blossom opening on the palate to further lychee, ruby red grapefruit, and a kiss of apricot over medium acidity. The finish shows a forward-facing spike of spice, quickly settling into a clean, ever-so-slightly off dry presence with excellent, resonant floral and peach umami. If dried fruits and soft cheeses are being served, look no further for your perfect wine pairing.

CHW Confidential
Known as one of the four Grand Cru grapes of Alsace, France, Gewürztraminer is an aromatic white grape (a la Riesling, Muscat) that clings to cooler growing regions, producing a medium-to-full bodied white that ranges from bone dry to fully sweet.
Lot 783 is an off-dry, all estate fruit, pitch-perfect offering from a picturesque Carmel Valley winery propped up on the shoulders of a decorated winemaker with a host of big name stints prior to settling in Carmel to explore both traditional and experimental, natural winemaking practices. This unique-yet-educated approach to winemaking led to a perfectly timed 2018 harvest and subsequently the holy grail of Gewürz farming: exceptionally balanced acidity, the perfect kiss of sweetness, and ultimately, an offering of white that will gracefully age 5-7 years from the vintage, possibly longer.
Just over a third of the original tasting room price, fans of our Moscato d’Asti offerings will find this to be the more “grown up” version of that profile, one that has landed this grape on many global Michelin-starred wine pairing menus
