Beautifully golden on the pour, with toast, lemon blossom, and apple dominating the nose. Citrus and fresh butter transition quickly to spiced butterscotch on the palate, with medium weight and a medium+ acidity making for an excellent food wine that will round out beautifully with a bit of age. The finish is uplifted, long, and rich, with barrel-kissed components ending in an unmistakable fresh butter umami.

Lot 751 comes to us from a boutique winery on the Napa side of Carneros, produced from a single vineyard and made in a “barrel bomb” style featuring a butterscotch profile and lemon element that slices through beautifully – fans of Lot 675 Chard might consider this its bolder Napa brother. Aged in French oak just under a year, this is an oak-kissed expression of Carneros fruit and has everything you’d want from a classic California Chard – fresh butter on the finish, toast on the nose, and plenty of barrel influence and spice on the palate.
