Located in the south of Mendocino, at the headwaters of the Russian River and Navarro River watersheds and separating the Alexander Valley from the Anderson Valley, the foggy vineyards of the Yorkville Highlands AVA are planted in rocky, gravelly soils that offer terrific drainage at high elevation (850-2500ft).
Lot 724 is our first release from this region in almost a decade, sourced from a picturesque little family-owned winery nestled at the northwestern side of the Anderson Valley. Produced by fantastic winemaking talent with top training and pedigree that left the big names to pursue a labor of love to call their own, this is a dynamic Pinot aged in French oak that showcases terrific character and a sense of place.
A very enjoyable Pinot
A fantastic value - versatile Pinot that is a good pour on its own and also pairs well with dinners.
A great red wine for the white wine drinker. I like the low tannin and high acidity. It's lightness will put some off, for me it's fine. An easy to drink summer red wine.
Great Pinot, goes with everything... very enjoyable weekday wine, but even versatile enough for the special occasions.
Great everyday wine
This is a great everyday wine. Really... everyday! Light and great price. Goes with our week night meals without having to think too hard. I think we have gone through at least 2 cases, maybe 3.
I love this Pinot and live in Oregon, the land of Pinot's. I personally like how light it is and refreshing.
Excellent Burgundian styled Pinot noir, that we don’t see with many California pinots. Great food wine.
Solid Daily Wine
Light, easy to drink. A great everyday type of wine for the price.
Without much experience drinking Pinot Noir, I had little expectation either way. I simply review it as a “nice” wine. As I read some of the other reviews, I would say it must be a very good value for those who love to drink and share bottles of Pinot Noir.
Good, not great
I find this wine to be thin and very low on flavor. It wasn't horrible, but there are better pinots on this site.
This was a nice light wine we enjoyed during the afternoon. Great for the price and we will likely order again for summer porch times.
