Sourced from one of the most renowned and venerated wine-growing districts in the world. Low yields per vine are required to obtain good sugar levels, intense color, and the fullest flavor extraction. Traditional fermentation is followed by malolactic fermentation and then laid to rest for 4 years of aging (hence the Riserva moniker; non-Riserva Barbaresco requires 2 years). From the best south-facing slopes in Barbaresco and with a good bit of barrel and bottle aging, Lot 692 is an Italian masterpiece.
was hesitant to spend the money without trying it first, had with beef was excellent. would highly recommend. will reorder next time!
A bottle of this red and a nice steak off the grill and you'll be in heaven!
Surprisingly enough, goes great with pasta!
I love the BIG Italian wines and I am so happy Cam brought them back! Light but full of flavor, excellent wine!
Great with steak.
Superb Italian wine. Great with steak!
Had with a great steak dinner on the patio. This wine was a fantastic pairing.
Outstanding Customer Service!
I bought 2 bottles of this wine with high hopes. The first bottle was undrinkable. The cork was shot and the wine far past it's glory. The stellar team at Cameron Hughes were great when I reported the upsetting news to them. I could not be more impressed with their excellent customer service. PS - ( I have yet to open the second bottle. Fingers crossed)
It is probably my fault But I didn't think much of this wine. I opened and drank it right away. I think I probably should have let is air out some. I am sure it would have been much better if I did so
I too had it with steak. Grand old wine. Dusty brick color matches the profile. Faded tannins but able to stand up to the food. Lovely on its own after. Not a fruit forward smack you upside the head California cab. Not a make your mouth pucker and dry nebbiolo.
Love it. Have to find coin for more.
Decant for a couple of hours and serve at 62 F. It paired really well with a steak. I guess it would go with any beef dish. Dry, balanced tannins, and a really good finish.
