Wine Details
True to its Amador roots, the wine jumps out of the glass resonating with sugar plums, blueberries, and red fruits, all underpinned with a hint of chocolate and black tea. Medium-soft acidity carries it across the palate, showcasing more black tea over hints of cracked pepper with noticeably soft tannins integrated throughout. The exit is medium bodied, riding the elements of black tea all the way to the finish line. A perfect wine to enjoy in the immediate future.

Amador's climate (comparable to St Helena’s) makes for fantastic grape-growing conditions. For a region responsible for only 1% of California’s wine production, it has somehow managed to collect 30% of medals awarded – more per acre than any other California AVA. Lot 690 comes to us from ground zero for kick-ass red wines in the Sierra Foothills. Hailing from one of the most renowned winemakers in the region, this is a wonderful showcase of balanced fruit and terroir that's ready to serve now.
