A Favorite, Amador Wine for A Great price!
Give this a little air and it is very good,. Has a nice feel on the palate and a wonderful finish. Glad I bought some especially at this price point. Thanks CH! I suspect it will get even better in a few years, if you can wait that long. If not, enjoy it now with a little decant.
Very much enjoyed this smooth drinking Petite Sirah from the Sierra Foothills. Have a feeling it won't be around long. Will likely order more soon.
Great with bone in rib eye
Great wine that went super well with a grilled bone in rib eye. Fruity with good structure and tannins. Really enjoyed it!
best value-drink when you can
Soft, smooth, fantastic. Enjoy thru out the meal.
It’s got a beautiful shade of purple in the glass and I can almost see through. The nose is lush and rich with blackberry jam, fig paste, blueberries. On the palate it is very dark fruit heavy. Black berries, currants and chocolate. There’s a gripping set of tannins that get to work on my gums immediately. This is to be expected with this varietal, also known as Durif. On the mid palate there is more plum than blackberry, but it’s still black fruit dominant. There’s a juiciness to this wine that begs for hearty steaks. The finish reverts back to blackberry jam and some charcoal. It is shockingly dry and delicious. I am really enjoying this wine and it will pair beautifully with the grilled Skirt and Prosciutto wrapped Asparagus I am cooking. If you like a dry wine, or want to cellar something long term, this is it. 92 points, and 5 stars for this $13 steal Drink till 2030.
PS I love you
Very nice Petite Sirah from Amador. Fruity, almost jammy, a bit spicy, inky tooth staining bruiser - but in a good way.
One of our favorites
A great tasting petite sirah and at $13 a bottle, we need to purchase more before it’s gone!
Delicious fruity wine that pairs with pretty much anything.
Really enjoyed this Petite Sirah. Delicious, smooth and jammy with strong flavor of red fruit. Nice finish and easy drinking. Will buy again!
