Wine Details
Opens with floral blackberry notes from the Oakville components, counterbalanced with loamy olive and graphitic notes from the elements from Mt. Veeder. The nose constantly evolves and shifts, reticently showing its prettier red fruit notes, telling me there’s much more to come. The palate is seamless and well-balanced, with youthful, harmoniously integrated tannins and sappy fruit. A terrific showcase of the incredible dedication to quality winemaking found only at Napa Valley’s top estates, this is a terrific red blend that you should definitely decant for a few hours in the near term.

Sourced from the same Oakville winery that provided us with ultra-high-end Lots 571-574 a couple years back, Lot 671 is entirely produced from estate fruit. A 77/23 blend of the Oakville and Mt. Veeder appellations, this wine was fermented in purpose-built concrete tanks and aged in copious quantities of new French oak, made in a rich style that lovingly marries precision and finesse with muscular ripeness.
