Outstanding Napa quality! Wine opens with dark red fruit and finishes long, especially as you complete second sip.. Will re-up this wine as soon as possible so as not to miss out.
Great value. Well balanced
Full bodied red blend, a mélange of dark berries and soft tannins. The flavors are intense and complex without being fruity. We enjoyed this wine by itself and with food.
Must try just to experience the finish!
This is a great Meritage! The winemaker hit my sweet spot for preferred red blends. Dark red in the bottle, a nose that centers around red cedar and oak with a noticeable berry presence, a taste that’s well balanced and then a smooth unique finish - smooth acidity that makes the tongue tingle followed by a rush of soft tannins that seem to burst open and then gradually fade. Must try this one if you like Meritage. I opened it about 30 minutes before tasting.
Having this grilled with a dark meat turkey entree. Will have to wait to see how it pairs.
Great red blend
A very good red blend at a reasonable price = great value. Easy drinking with restrained tannins means this is a 'ready now' wine. Well balanced and delicious on it's own or with any hearty dish. Finish is a bit short, but that's nit picking. Great bottle for any occasion.
Winner (even at 2-3 times the price)
More complexity than a wine at this price point has the right to have. Complex, well-integrated, and smooth. A sophisticated pour. Even has a hint of the glycerin usually reserved for ultra-premium juice.
Mega kudos. We’ll done Cam.
Great to drink now.
This Meritage has lots of high-end fruit, a long back finish and a luscious chew to it. It was a good buy!
On our second case, hope another is available before the end of Spring.
Lot 671 is awesome; it reminds me of the great Howell Mountain Meritage you shared with us a few years ago. Suffice it to say that upon receipt of our first case, we drank a bottle after one day of rest. Without finishing dinner, we ordered a second case!
Better than Bordeaux!!
Another excellent wine by CH!!. Great QPR value. Red berries on the nose. Flavors of mocha, vanilla and dark fruit on the palate.
Great job Cameron!
Rich with aroma of berries. Good texture and taste with a smooth finish. Great blend and value for the money. Will drink for years. Want more!
Cam is 100% correct
Absolutely true, wines like this are exactly why we shop CH wines. Exceptional wine, tastes like it should cost $200- easily!
