Wine Details

Pours almost pitch black, with a fine, deep ruby rim – the only place light can penetrate the wine. The nose opens with a vibrant bouquet of blueberries and plum, encompassed in black pepper and wet stones. On the palate, the blueberries and plums rest atop a deep cacao and graphite backbone, resonating over soft tannins and a medium acidity. A dry, elegant finish reminiscent of black tea keeps you coming back for more. 2 hour decant recommended if drinking in its youth.

The third in a series of exceptional red wine values we’ve sourced from a family-owned, boutique North Coast winery that specializes in small-lot, top-quality wines made from certified organic vineyards in Lake County and the Sierra Foothills (and boasts a massive laundry list of 90+ scores and double gold medals from the past decade to boot).

Sourced from a kick-ass volcanic vineyard site at about 1500 feet elevation, in smartly-planted, conscientiously-farmed vineyards. Farmed to perfection and produced to be reflective of place and varietal, this is a powerful statement of quality. Already a terrific value under the original label at $25, and an incredible deal under ours.

Paired with brisket, very rich nose, spent 5 minutes just “sniffing” this wine. Let decant for 2 hours, was a great wine with lots of chocolate and a slight taste of olive. Never had a petite Syrah before, was blown away by the quality of this wine, will be buying a case. Cheers!!

A lovely combination of dark rich flavors and medium-full body. Good to sip alone but great with pasta and red sauces or pizza. Not a delicate flower for sure but if you want a big-ish red wine you can drink right now, this it's it.

Drank half a bottle and then had the rest the next day. Wow, this Petit Syrah holds up just fine. Great bottle at a great price!

Big, deep red almost inky, complex and silky -- this wine surprised me! This Petite Syrah needs to breathe for an hour or two before drinking. If you like big robust reds you will not be disappointed.

Thoroughly enjoyed this highly quaff-able PS! Easy 5 stars given the price. "Please, Sir...can I have some more?"

Nice in the nose, very smooth and leaves a good taste in the palette.
