Similarly to how we got our Albariño series started, I reached out to the producer with a proposal to bottle under our Lot program, allowing us to pass the savings along to you without impacting their price in the marketplace.
Sourced from 30+ year-old head-trained bush vines, handpicked and fermented in concrete tanks in the Valdejalon region of Spain. The identical wine under its winery label scored 90pts from Parker’s Wine Advocate – at $12/bottle, this is an unbeatable deal.
Took a chance
Haven't tried this before, but we really liked it for a change of pace from the heavier Cabs.
Good wine for the price
Spanish Garnacha production seems to be going the direction of overextraction/big oak over the past few years and I'm glad this wine is not that! This wine is great with or without food. Ripe raspberry with hints of herbs/black licorice on the nose, this wine really is what Spanish Garnacha should be about! I'm thinking this could be my go-to summer cookout wine...
If you enjoy edgy, this is the wine.
Good solid Spanish wine
Fruit forward first...then the garrique herbs...very food friendly. I am liking these 100% Varietals more and more. The Grenache really absorbs the sage/thyme and other herbal flavors. G
A great Spanish red
Tempranillo seems to be the most widely found grape in Spain, but I quite prefer the Garnacha--it has a stronger character, and can be more complex. This is an excellent example--intense fruits, medium tannins, and a touch of black pepper. At this price, you can't miss this one!
Very enjoyable. A fine wine for the money!
Overall very happy with this wine. Aeration is warranted and then opens up nicely. Comfortable drinking wine, well balanced. Great value and would definitely recommend to both those who have tried a Grenache as well as those who have not. Will not disappoint
Solid wine for a weekend away
I had never had Grenache before, but found it to be a pleasant, fruity change of pace from the heavier reds we usually drink. Tasted great with light bites by the fireplace.
