Similarly to how we got our Albariño series started, I reached out to the producer with a proposal to bottle under our Lot program, allowing us to pass the savings along to you without impacting their price in the marketplace.
Sourced from 30+ year-old head-trained bush vines, handpicked and fermented in concrete tanks in the Valdejalon region of Spain. The identical wine under its winery label scored 90pts from Parker’s Wine Advocate – at $12/bottle, this is an unbeatable deal.
Worth the price
That said, the price is $12, so don't expect something mind-blowing. It's a nice change of pace, not as heavy as a cab; works well with vegetarian dishes.
This is a terrify wine. It drinks well and the price in wonderful. I liked is so much that I brought more
Like a Picasso
A fine work like a Spanish artist of note. You might pass over it thinking it isn't as big or bold as a cab, but you are correct, a cab it is not. Like the finest works of a painter, you must spend time with it, learn its story and find the beauty beneath the surface. A fine offering!
Very drinkable wine, nice value!
Nice fruitty, medium body Spanish wine that pairs well with food. Will benefit from decanting. As with most CH Wines, this is an excellent value.
As they say in Spain... Phenomenal! My wife loved it...Not a HumDrum Cab Sav...Not Merlot..Not Meritage
Okay for the price
Full disclosure, we’ve never really been big fans of Grenache. This wine is just okay. Kinda fruity, kinda tart, I wouldn’t describe it as complex. This is probably a one and done.
Really enjoyed. Great wine for the price!
Good value, but disappointed in the overall taste.
Good wine. Dry and fruity, rather unique. A nice change from cab and zin. Very good, especially for the price.
Nice change of pace
Like Sirahs, we don't purchase Garnacha very often and added this to a case just to try it. Not bad. It was a nice change of pace from the cabs we normally drink. Although not a blockbuster, you have to consider the price you're getting for compared to what you'd get in your local wine store.
