A delicious Californian take on a classic Italian favorite.

Dark and opaque in the glass with just a hint of magenta popping on the rim. Perfectly ripe, earthy plum notes ride a beam of bramble-berry jam and chocolate, with hints of strawberry peeking over the big, dark fruit notes. Fleshy and plump on the palate, with a perfectly balanced transition to a juicy, chocolatey/blackberry finish that is as lively as it is robust. This wine delivers tons of pleasure with good complexity and tantalizing acidity that will keep your food happy and you coming back for more.
Cam Confidential

My favorite Barberas all have a bit of altitude on them, thriving both in the red soils of the Sierra Foothills and the 1500-2000 foot gravelly benches and rocky ridges of Lake County.

Lot 621 comes to us from a terrific program in Lake County from one of California’s pioneering winemakers. Crafted by a gentleman with about half a century of winemaking experience across Napa, Sonoma, and the surrounding wine counties, this is a delicious Californian take on a classic Italian varietal, made under the watchful eye of a master by any definition of the word. Simply an incredible level of quality at this price.
