Wine Details
It leaps out of the glass, redolent with ripe, honey-tinged blossom, vanilla, and ripe orchard fruit – the effect of which is a bit like apple pie a la mode sprinkled with mandarin zest. Warm and succulent on the palate, the pitch perfect balance is notable, delivering a symphony of fruit and beautifully integrated wood.

Sourced from a handful of small vineyards in the Russian River Valley with international fame, Lot 595 is a beautiful, elegant, yet succulent expression of the varietal (and just picked up a Double Gold Medal from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, I might add). Deftly produced in a long, cool fermentation and aged (with lees stirred) in 100% French oak (35% new), this wine is rich and effusive in the nose, perfectly balanced and creamy on the palate, and delivers a sense of purity and grace that you’d typically find at twice the price.
