Antonio Galloni, Vinous:
"Once again, I came away deeply impressed with the wines I tasted during my annual visit to the Santa Cruz Mountains. Rugged hillside sites and an extraordinary range of microclimates confer tremendous personality to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and red Bordeaux varieties. There is little doubt the finest Santa Cruz Mountains wines are world-class in every way."
From the same family-owned winery and winemaking team with over 25 years of experience that produced our "liquid silk" Lot 564 Pinot. Crafted with every bit as much precision and deftness as its Pinot counterpart, this Chard is produced from old vines bathed in abundant spring fog from the nearby Pacific Ocean, and was barrel fermented in French oak barrels. Made in a style that's undeniably California + Burgundy, this is the best of both worlds, and I was very happy to get access to this wine.
Sold under the original label for just under $40/bottle, this is an exceptional value here at $15.
This has become our house Chardonnay. Classic California style. We will be sad when it is sold out.
Great taste affordable price. Very smooth Chardonnay.
The King (Arroyo Seco) is dead! Long live the King (Santa Cruz)!
Need I say more?
Our new house white!
Big fans of California Chardonnay. We love this wine and can’t believe The prize. Reminiscent of Chardonnays that cost three times as much.
Our fav of the current Chardonnays
Great value! Not that we don't love the 595 2016 Russian River, and are happy when guests like #549 2015 Eola-Amity Hills, but this one is targeted right at our taste buds...so we open the others for others, and save this one for us. Butter, pear, smooth, so tasty ;-)
Nice smooth chard. Love the smooth butter and love the price.
Loved this chard. Creamy, buttery and a good price. Love sipping it while preparing dinner. Will purchase more.
A subtle, delicious Chard...
Delicious, subtle chard, floral notes, citrus, and just a touch of butter. A great value.
This is a fine wine for everyday drinking. Crisp, clean, not overly oaked, very food friendly. It's not the equivalent of top end Chards, but hey, it doesn't have the cost of a top end Chard. Tasty, it's hard to go wrong.
One of the top 3
We enjoy every Chardonnay that sells, and this was one of the top three we have sampled. The grape is bright, fresh and full of citrus and mineral.
