Antonio Galloni, Vinous:
"Once again, I came away deeply impressed with the wines I tasted during my annual visit to the Santa Cruz Mountains. Rugged hillside sites and an extraordinary range of microclimates confer tremendous personality to Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and red Bordeaux varieties. There is little doubt the finest Santa Cruz Mountains wines are world-class in every way."
From the same family-owned winery and winemaking team with over 25 years of experience that produced our "liquid silk" Lot 564 Pinot. Crafted with every bit as much precision and deftness as its Pinot counterpart, this Chard is produced from old vines bathed in abundant spring fog from the nearby Pacific Ocean, and was barrel fermented in French oak barrels. Made in a style that's undeniably California + Burgundy, this is the best of both worlds, and I was very happy to get access to this wine.
Sold under the original label for just under $40/bottle, this is an exceptional value here at $15.
A subtle, delicious Chard...
Delicious, subtle chard, floral notes, citrus, and just a touch of butter. A great value.
This is a fine wine for everyday drinking. Crisp, clean, not overly oaked, very food friendly. It's not the equivalent of top end Chards, but hey, it doesn't have the cost of a top end Chard. Tasty, it's hard to go wrong.
One of the top 3
We enjoy every Chardonnay that sells, and this was one of the top three we have sampled. The grape is bright, fresh and full of citrus and mineral.
Crisp with a nice finish
This bottle of wine has great notes of mineral and tart green apples. Crisp with a nice finish. Great for sipping when fixing a quick Sunday dinner while relaxing from visiting the grand kids.
White wine wheel house
My husband is not a huge fan of whites (I insist on a mix in our deliveries anyway) but he says as far as whites go this white is in his wheel house. It’s one he can enjoy. I by the way thought it was fabulous. Chardonnay’s are my favorite
This is a great food wine. Very light oak, flavorful and it complements a wide variety of dishes.
Go Santa Cruz!
I’m enjoying a few coming out of Sabra Cruz and this Chardonnay is no exception. Nice buttery Chardonnay with a slight oak finish but not overpowering. Definitely great watching the sun set with this is hand
Reminds one of French wines
If you like big Chardonnay, give this a try. Lots of flavors, clean finish, great value.
Best Chardonnay Ever!
Out standing chardonnay! Taste is way above price line. Try it. You won't be disappointed.
I brought this for my wife since she likes the wines more than I do. She thought is was pretty good. I on the other hand didn't think much of it. Again it is probably cause I mostly drink the read wines.
