Sourced from an iconic producer in Calistoga, Lot 557 2016 Napa Valley Rosé is produced from all estate fruit. The wine itself is made via the saignée method, which involves letting the natural weight of the grapes force out free-run juice.
The Cabernet Sauvignon makes for a deeper and richer red hue, more akin to “Rosado” than the pale salmon pink of Provence rosé. This is a small-Lot, first-class terrific value (vs the $20+ source winery retail).
