Lot 555 is structured to age beautifully, and its exceptional balance makes it the kind of Cabernet that will pair harmoniously with a broad array of foods. The coloring is black with a beautiful ruby robe, with seductive layers of raspberry, blackcurrant, and white flower laced with “dusty” sage and mineral notes. Graceful tannins infused with dense layers of plum, bramble, and graphite envelop a silky-dusty red-fruit core that promises additional complexity not just over the next couple of months but well into the next decade. The finish is rich and sweeping, with lingering pure red and black fruits meshed with fine-grained tannins.

Style: Full, Bold

Flavors: Blackcurrant, Graphite, Plum

Cam Confidential

There were a number of candidates for our biggest release of the year. Ultimately, we chose one deserving winner, sourced from a fantastic estate in Rutherford deeply rooted in classical traditions and family winemaking heritage. Its vineyards are certainly amongst Napa’s finest, and definitely in the discussion for the top 10. Stylistically, the wines produced from these soils are classic Napa Valley, featuring finesse, elegance, complexity, and the length of flavor associated with Grand Cru dirt. For various reasons, we couldn’t show the Rutherford designation on the label, but you’ll know it when you get your first sip of this wine.
