Wine Details
In the glass, the wine looks like pen ink mixed with ox blood – dark and sensual. Exotic spice is mixed with iodine, crushed white flower, sweet red fruit, ripe blackberry, molten licorice, crushed granite and smoky oak. Complex and exuberant up top, dense and brooding down low, with a granite spine right up the middle. Silky smooth entry on the palate, redolent with rich red fruit, licorice, and crushed rock that mingle in a wave of formidable tannins that last forever.

Meteor Vineyard is the epicenter of Coombsville. Here, grace and elegance melds with power and intensity. It’s an amazing property managed by the “Obi-Wan” of vineyard managers, Mike Wolf (he also planted the vineyard in 1999). Its aspect, elevation, and stony rich volcanic soil make for an optimal Cabernet Sauvignon site. The list of producers sourcing here is a who’s who of blue chip Napa Valley cult wineries.
