Wine Details
This wine is dark, dense and opaque in the glass with an intense ruby red rim. The deep intensity is due primarily to the Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon anchoring the blend. Touches of Cabernet Franc and Merlot are feathered in in such a way that they act as a lens to focus and lengthen the darker, denser varietals. Sweet florals, mocha, graham cracker, licorice and herb dominate the tightly wound nose with the blueberry and red currant fruit taking second stage at this point. Its suave and plush on the palate with chewy tannins that spread out horizontally on the palate yet remain tightly wound and youthfully disjointed.
