Wine Details
Immediately intense, gorgeous, multifaceted and pure. At once smoky/meaty/peppery/chocolatey, it’s also beautifully fruited with a core of pretty raspberry fruit and savory blackberry, topped off with purple florals, white pepper and sage all dusted with cocoa powder. The palate has excellent tension, perfectly balanced between its savory floral components, rich fruit, and chocolatey underpinning. This is a ridiculously complex wine with pristine oak integration and soulful purity that will speak to lovers of Rhône wines foreign and domestic.

Home to the largest concentration of wineries in Santa Barbara, the long east-west corridor of the Santa Ynez Valley is a world-renowned AVA and ground zero for some of the greatest Rhône varietals being grown in California. Perfect diurnal swing and cobbly vineyards make this region a natural home for Rhône varietals like Syrah and Grenache. Sourced from the Estelle Vineyard at the heart of the valley, this blend of 84% Syrah and 16% Grenache is a fantastic bottle of wine at this price, especially given that other bottlings from the same vineyard now range from $29-$35/bottle.
