Deep, dark and brooding, Lot 515 is almost pitch-black, with just hints of red on the rim. You can smell the structure as the seemingly concave nose pulls you down in the glass. With air, aromas of toasty oak, brambly dark cherry, and molten chocolate emerge; as the wine continues to open up, the nose evolves and is joined by additional notes of earthy red rock and black licorice. On the palate, Lot 515 is massive yet very inviting, with lush juicy fruit and mineral-laced tannins that will continue to unwind over the next decade. This is a gorgeous wine that combines density and power with approachability and elegant perfume.

Style: Full, Bold

Cam Confidential
Since its planting in the 1880s, Monte Rosso has perhaps been the greatest source for Cabernet in Sonoma County. Located 1,000-2,000 feet above the valley floor, the famous red soils of Monte Rosso produce incredible Cabernets that are consistently awarded 91-95 point scores from Parker, Galloni, and other major publications year after year. With 20 months of aging in new French oak (Atelier, Remond, Taransaud, Ermitage, Sirugue), Lot 515 weighs in at a hefty 15.4% alcohol, but exhibits no heat – just rich, concentrated fruit and huge structure. Yields for this fruit were a mere 3.5 tons/acre, which means bigger and denser berries for a powerhouse wine.
