Pours a pale carmine in color, with uplifted aromas of lilac, citrus and blood orange. Strawberry, watermelon and rose water flavors mingle with a lively acidity in a robust fruit finish. Delicioso!

Lot 514 is sourced from the Sonoma Valley, Alexander Valley, and Dry Creek Valley appellations. We acquired this wine in shiners (wine already in bottle), so the cellaring work is already done! Produced from top-class free run Grenache juice, it shimmers with a light pink hue and rich, mouthwatering fruit that puts it among the best examples of California dry Rosé. Made by one of Sonoma's finest wineries that had just a little too much on their hands. Compare at $20.

Cam nailed this in his assessment. That said, this is not my style of Rose. I would prefer more Syrah to enhance the depth of the wine. It was a bit too fruity for me. I like the Rhone style better.

I have never tried a Rose wine before now, but I was completely impressed with the 514 though. To describe it, I would say it was kind of like a hybrid wine, a nice balance of the best of both worlds of a red wine and a white wine. It was just a tad dry for my girlfriend, but to me it was only mildly dry. Doesn't have an overly powerful nose, and it has a nice smooth fruity finish. Very easy to drink. Also, the 514 wasn't overly sweet either. This would be a great wine to start drinking if you want to begin developing a palette for red wines.

Not a heck of a lot of flavor, somewhat like flower water, my wife did not mind it, I could not drink it. There are too many other good wines to try to develop a palate for Rose.

Got this as a gift for a freind who likes "pink" wines. She loved it!

This is a really well balanced Rose--subtle flavors along with just a touch of sweetness.

Had red and white drinkers together and this pleased everyone.

Although we are generally red wine fans, this is the rose wine we have been seeking for a long time. Full of flavor to enjoy on Arizona's hot summer evenings ... or any time!

More Spanish/California than Provencal. Less mineral, bolder strawberry flavor while still dry, acid, and interesting.

I'm just beginning to appreciate rose. 514 is dry and refreshing, perfect for summer or now.

Little too dry but sister loves it.
