Wine Details
Beautiful dusty nose of plums, cassis, and white flower high notes. On the palate, this is a rich, lush glass of wine as far as Rutherford Cabs go – plum and dark fruit flavors in abundance, with terrific oak integration and savory spice notes on the finish. Archetypal Napa Cabernet from one of the most prestigious sub-appellations. ta

As with Lot 285, we have to keep most details under wraps, but I can disclose that this magnificent vineyard is nestled in the finest earth in Rutherford and was originally planted by a famed Napa vintner in the early 1900s. It straddles the old Conn Creek drainage, which has deposited gravelly loam soils over thousands of years and provides truly exquisite growing conditions. Year after year, numerous single vineyard designate wines produced here have consistently been awarded scores in the mid to high 90s by Wine Spectator and the Wine Advocate, with prices ranging from $75/bottle to over $500/bottle for the top blocks in the vineyard.
