Wine Details
Opens up with densely packed aromatics of red plum skins and mocha notes that give way to powdery florals, pink peppercorns and black currant, with hints of crushed rock and dried herb. Seamless on the palate, the wine is lavishly constructed, with earthy minerality infused with plush tannins. Definitely worth a good hour or two in the decanter.

No expense was spared with this wine: sourced from Stagecoach Vineyard, the wine spent over 24 months in new oak as we sought to unwind its tightly packed structure. The result is a lovely Syrah that delivers now and will continue to age for another decade. This is not overblown rocket fuel but rather a cooler climate example (14.2% abv), combining Northern Rhone with California Mountain Grown.
