Lot 412 2012 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay

Lot 412
2012 Arroyo Seco Chardonnay

Best in Class: 2014 SF Chronicle Wine Competition; Lush tropical notes, lemon zest, honeycomb, peach and crushed flowers.
  • San Francisco Chronicle Gold Winner
Opens with vanilla, white flower, and honeycomb aromas. On the palate, it’s obvious very quickly that the wine is made in a lush, buttery, rich style. Not overly sweet, with good acidity and structure, and a long finish that just keeps going and going. Creamy, refreshing, and absolutely delicious.

Style: Light, Fruity

Flavors: Honey, Lemon, Peach, Vanilla

Cam Confidential
After sourcing wines all over California for over a decade, I can say with confidence that the intersection of quality and value for Chardonnay lies in Monterey County. The high winds, dry days, and ocean fog generated by its close proximity to the Pacific creates a very long growing season that’s perfect for Chardonnay, and the late harvest provides the grapes with an extra month of hang time that results in wines lush with tropical flavors and refreshing acidity. Barrel fermented in brand new American oak barrels, Lot 412 is a mouthwatering bottle of wine that embodies the best of Central Coast Chardonnay. Same producer as Lots 238 and 280. Possesses all the impact of the 2009s, but with better purity and complexity.

Equal to Lot 330

This is a mellow, very presentable Chardonnay. CH Wines' selections from Arroyo Seco continue to please.

The "notes" as Cam wrote in his presentation of Lot 412 fairly leap into the palate at first taste. The continue through each glass. It's (was) a marvelous Chardonnay.

Good quality for good price.

Good wine at good price. Not as good as the Russian River Chardonnay, but very presentable.

A steal at this price point.

This is a wonderful Chardonnay and a great buy too. I have drank my share of high end Chardonnays and to find one with the finish this wine has for the price was a pleasant surprise.

The best of a great group of 2012 Chardonnay's

We have purchased several of the different CH 2012 Chard's.The Lot 412 is the best of the bunch. We have served it many times to different people all with great comments and when price is considered it is hands down a winner.

I guess I was expecting a deeper flavor, some creamy butter and oak.
Wine is good just not as good as some of your others.

So good, I bought more.

Can a wine be light and rich at the same time? This one is. Within minutes of opening the first bottle, I'd ordered another case.

With it in short supply, I'm hesitant to post this. Maybe I should go back one more time.
