Lot 374 | 2007 Italy
Gold Medal: 2013 Critics Challenge; A 92+ point Super Tuscan blend. Blueberry and blackberry lifted with high-toned graphite, mineral, and olive aromas.
Discounted shipping on 12 bottles. Free shipping on 24 or more.
Gorgeous, sensuous nose of clove, blueberry and blackberry lifted with high-toned graphite, mineral, and olive aromas. The wine explodes across your palate with waves of blackberry pie, sweet oak, and hints of mint and mocha that never seem to end. This solid core of fruit is well supported by silky tannins in this lush, hedonistic yet balanced and harmonious effort. Fantastic. If you love the big, rich style of Napa Cabernet this wine is right up your alley…in fact, I would not hesitate to put this wine up against any of the Napa big boys.

Opened a bottle tonight to accompany a steak dinner. Now at 8 years old this wine is superb. I know it's sold out so please Cam, go back to Italy and find some more wines like this. Pretty please?
I have ordered this nice Italian on three or four different occasions, it's that good. Smooth, flavorful great with my wife's meaty red spaghetti sauce, or with Ghirardeli 72% cacao Dark Chocolate
I purchased this wine when it first arrived and did not completely appreciate it until I visited Italy in Sept. This is a beautiful example of a Super Tuscan.
Delicious Super Tuscan!
This is an absolutely delicious wine! It is great now but I think this will drink well for many years. It pairs well with food but is delicious on its own. At $39, this is in a higher price range than what my wife and I typically spend on a bottle of wine. However, I still think this is a good value at that price. Anywhere else, this wine would be at least twice the price. When this wine was on sale, it was an absolute steal. For us, this is a Saturday night splurge wine. This is every bit as good as any high end Napa Cab that I have tried.
I'm not going to lie, I admit to being skeptical of a wine company that says "we're giving you a great deal on a $100 bottle of wine..." I was reluctant to try these non-identified wines my wife keeps raving about. After the first one I tried, Lot 515, I was cautious in my comments though I liked it. That was rare for me. I'm not a cabernet man. Then she ordered this one, that she felt would be more in line with my tastes. It was. And I was blown away.
Super Tuscan is such a relative term...it can mean any not-to-standard Italian blend. I tried it without knowing the composition. I believe it may be my favorite to date, under any label.
So, I may be a reluctant convert, but converted I am. Cameron Hughes, you have my business.
Wish I'd bought more!
Another Wow! I really wish I'd tasted it before the sale ended. I was waiting for it to get over travel shock. Finally just decided to taste it and I'm kicking myself for not ordering a case. Doubt it will last til the next sale though. Beautiful wine.
Very nice wine!
Let this breathe for a little while and it will open beautifully OR drink it right from the bottle. Either way it is full, flavorful and lovely (as it should be for $39.00.)
Best to decant for 2+ hours, but even right out of the bottle is a well balanced delicious wine. Can drink alone or with varied meat and even fish dishes. A keeper even my 24 year old daughter loved!
One of my favorites
If you liked lot 282 you will love this wine!
Smooth, very flavorful; it's always a pleasure to open one this good.
