A stylistic departure from the 2010, I think this wine lands somewhere between the 2010 AP Chardonnay and our Arroyo Seco Chard Lots. Its see’s a larger percentage of new oak and is overall a bigger, richer style. 2011 was a tough harvest in Napa Valley, but less challenging by a wide margin up on Atlas Peak. While fogs socked in the Valley, Atlas Peak was bright and sunny. Like our past Atlas Peak Chardonnay bottling, this wine is sourced from the same blocks that comprise the vineyard's own $35 bottle.
