Wine Details

Dark, dark, dark and punches out of the glass with gobs of tasty oak, sweet florals, rich plum and blueberry with plenty of mocha on a big, powerful frame. Rich, pure and structured - there is nothing subtle about this intense Cabernet, as it lays out on your palate in waves of dark fruit, blueberry and red licorice. It finishes huge and juicy with silky, fine grained tannins and persistent dark fruit.

This is actually Atlas Peak Cabernet, but the producer didn’t want us to put the appellation on the label since we are selling this for about half their price. Grown in hillside vineyards at 1,800 foot elevation, the wine is aged in 55-60% new French oak for 22 months before bottling.

This is a great drinking cabernet: big but not harsh, mellows in the glass. Glad that it came back in Cam's last sale, so that I could order more.

I picked up a few bottles of this before the holidays and opened the first bottle at Thanksgiving. Decanted for 2 hours before tasting, and I was blown away. While it is bold, a few more hours post opening, this wine develops into a rich, smooth wine treat. Too bad it's sold out!

Impressive Cab that doesn't need to age, buy and drink it while you still can. I too have had a few better Cab from CH so a strong 'Great Value' is my rating for this one.

A very smooth, well integrated cab. Ready to drink now and should age well. A favorite of all my friends who have tried it. A lot of cab for the money, comparable to $50+ bottles I have had.

Huh? I don't know how else to say it. I will rate it a Great Value because that is my only choice, but it is better than Great. I just can't say it is 'Best ' because I believe 500 and 360 are the 2 Best wines so far. So I would rate this a 4.5 and label it a Super Value. All the flavors are there, drinking beautifully now and no reason to age much longer. Tannin structure is beautiful, perfect balance, and paired beautifully with a chocolate truffle or drink watching a movie. Another Home Run from CH Wine. Thanks.

we bought a case of this and tasted one bottle. Normally, my wife and I cannot agree on what is a good wine. She likes lots of fruit, and I like wines with lots of body and aging potential. This wine has both. You can drink it now and it is very approachable, or it has the body to be aged for 10 years or more.

So we bought a second case.

Kind of a harsh taste upon opening. Waited until next night for second glass, was much better. I did wait a week after receiving shipment. Think I will give it until next spring before opening another bottle.

I tasted this wine and immediately said Wow! This wine has wonderful flavors that will only get better with age. Great now but will be excellent in the future. Bought a case and hope to save couple bottles for future taste experience.

I love lots 200,400,404 all big cabs with a smooth finish. This wine attacked me with a lemon taste that we did not expect. I do not have the patience of many of you to let a wine sit for years to come in. This is one that needs to stay in the bottle for a while.
