This wine comes to us from one of my favorite producers up on Atlas Peak, an area rapidly becoming renowned for its Cabernet Sauvignon after a flirtation with Sangiovese in the 80's and early 90's. In fact, for our ultra-premium offering, Hughes Wellman, we source from an incredible series of vineyards that straddles Atlas Peak AVA and the Pritchard Hill area. This is Cab country folks.
Lot 327 2008 Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon, is a stunning example of what can be achieved from Atlas Peaks high-elevation vineyards. Rich, delicious and with structure out the wazoo, this Cabernet from the tremendous 2008 vintage accurately reflects the ripe vintage.

Great wine with real aromatics
This wine definitely has the licorice thing going on. It is medium-full bodied, cherries , mouthfilling flavors. I hope the tannins soften out and this wine will be dynamite.
