Lot 312 Nero d'Avola is the baby brother to Lot 315 Nero d'Avola and the wine to buy and drink while you wait for that wine to age in the cellar. From the same producer, this is a perennially 90 point scoring Nero D’Avola from the folks who pioneered varietal bottling of Nero many decades ago. Meticulously farmed and raised in the best French oak (a combination of regular format and larger barriques) this fantastic offering combines Italian linearity and Sicilian warmth to produce a wine with tremendous appeal. If you are a fan of the bigger mountain fruit styles of Napa Cabernet, I believe you will gravitate towards this wine.
