The Famatina Valley sits well north of Mendoza in a high desert plateau surrounded by mountains on both sides. Dry as a whistle with plenty of high altitude solar exposure, warm days and cool nights with a huge diurnal swing, the area is a viticultural paradise for early ripening, highly aromatic whites such as Bonarda and Torrontes.
Its gone, was nice while it lasted
Gorgeous. Came back to the well for more, too late.
One of MY Favorites!
Torrontes became one of my favorites a couople of years ago, and I was thrilled when CH came out with one. We have purchased over a case so far and it remains high on our list of best value and taste!
One word: "Excellent"
This wine is surprisingly good, better said "excellent". Will Definitely buy this wine again.
Very nice. I am a fan.
Clean, crisp, subtle flavors of citrus, very enjoyable. Great price for the quality of the wine. Somewhat like a sauvignon blanc.
Great wine and great value.
I became a fan of this wine when Cam first reviewed it. We love it for its refreshing taste and versatility; filling in between Chard and Sauvignon Blanc when it comes to paring with foods.
I liked it even though ...
... I'm a red wine fan.
Very good, crisp, citrusy but not overwhelming, aromatic, pairs well with food which call for a white.
I have purchased several cases of this wine for entertainment of my friends, it is a very good, light, crisp, aomatic wine that can be paired with many dishes which call for a white wine. I serve it well chilled.
Awesome picnic wine
Brought this to a picnic this past weekend and loved it. Cool and refreshing, with mild acidity and a grapefruit finish.
Light and crisp with a citrus lemon-y touch. Gets more "ba-bam" when left out over night
Nice floral scent, smooth on the tongue, party in the mouth.
