Excellent Cellar Dweller
I waited til the end of the rainbow on this one, finally cracking it in early 2019. Though it may have idled over it's prime, it held up beautifully and complemented lamb chops in style.
Pnp lot 304 ( did not intend to rhyme). Simple yet elegant and refined. Tannin structure is light, so best to drink now to maximize pleasure. A very good wine. For the price, not many can compete. Enjoy.
Violets and Spice
The CH Meritages continue to impress me. Just a great value for the money. Balanced and fruit driven. Right on the verge of over-ripe (think raisin flavors), but skirts the cliff like a bighorn sheep (very precarious, but never falls).
Upon entry, I taste cassis and violets. The mid-palate is a little soft, but that is my only complaint. A wonderful finish (around 15 seconds) of black pepper and spice round out this blend.
I am convinced that CH offers some of the best values available in California reds (he is not paying me, I promise). If you like the CA style (rich, fruity, plush), the CH Meritages are a sure bet.
Solid wine pairs well with food. Nothing exceptional one way or the other but a solid red.
Bought one case. It was so good I bought two more. Just a great all around red. I can drink it with anything.

Love Love Love!
This was an Awesome! Meritage. Fruity and smooth, it's a wine I'd be happy to drink every night of the week. Plus only $16 for a wine from Napa? That's a steal!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Good tannins, finishes dry, dark fruit flavors, tiny bit of spiciness. Let this one breathe a little bit.
Fruity and smooth. Juicy!
