In the early 1970's, Premium varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay were planted is this Region 1 cool climate growing region, boasting one of the longest growing seasons in the state. These soils have a sandy loam, loam, clay loam, or shaly loam surface layer and a shaly clay subsoil. They are placed are on dissected high terraces in widely scattered areas with elevations range from 200 to 1,500 feet. With their artisan winemakers and impeccable vineyard practices, this winery delivers excellent wine at great value.
