Wine Details
Lot 278 presents pure mountain-style fruit, chewy with a cool-climate sensibility. Sweet black cherry and currant fruit are contrasted with silken tannins and a lovely savory mid-palate. Between its old-world acidity and deep complexity, this wine shows what is really great about high-elevation Napa Cab.

Lot 278 represents the great diversity of the Spring Mountain District. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Merlot and Petite Verdot from established vineyards at varying elevations planted along the slopes of western Napa Valley. With plenty of sun and well drained soils, Bordeaux varieties excel here, creating wines with intense aromas and firmly structured tannins. Lot 278 is an outstanding example of the appellation's potential.
