Wine Details
Lot 247 is an opulent wine with velvety, silken tannins. Concentrated blackberry and cherry intertwine with cherry infused fruit. Black licorice, espresso and integrated oak shimmer in the background of this elegant mountain fruit Cabernet. With fine-grained tannins and framing acidity, this wine shows old-world grace and plenty of fruit on the palate.

Lot 247 is quintessential Napa Cabernet from the terrific 2009 vintage. The wine comes to us from a relatively new winery with a lot of money behind it and plans to grow. The facilities are brand new in the last decade and the vineyards are all top notch, boasting properties in Rutherford, Calistoga, and St. Helena. They came to us last Fall and opened up their doors to their cellar as they simply had way more wine than they could sell – their prices start at $60/bottle.

One I Held the Longest
I just drank this last bottle about 6 months ago and it aged very well. I usually drink my CH cabs in a 3-5 year window, but have kept a few longer, including this one. Based on its appellation description, I wonder where this vineyard has gone?
