Rich gold center with matching rim, this wine has a gorgeous nose of vibrant tropical fruit flavors including ripe pineapple and notes of caramel. Toasty oak notes include creamy vanilla, gun flint, and butterscotch. This incredibly rich Chardonnay has a bold, velvety mouthfeel and long finish.

Lot 209 has a special place in my heart for its deft balance of incredible richness and pitch-perfect balance - this wine walks the line beautifully and inspires a big kudos to winemakers Sam and Mike for the many weeks they toiled with these and a multitude of other chardonnay blends. This puppy is just unwinding in the bottle and will rapidly gain in complexity over the next month or two before settling in for the next 4-5 years. Be careful not to overchill this wine or at least pull it out of the fridge 20 minutes before you drink it (as with most chardonnay). Ideal temp is 55 degrees.
