2006 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
90 Points from Wine Enthusiast!
Stylistically, this is a remarkably open and accessible Spring Mountain Cabernet, showing incredible fruit, colossal structure, gorgeous oak (80% new and 20% one-year old barrels for 20 months,) and a remarkably supple mouthfeel for this district. Deep purple, red color and gorgeous nose reveal red stone fruits on the palate, with plenty of tannin. Drink this wine over the next 15 to 20 years and certainly decant in the near term. The last two vintages (2003 and 2004) of these wines both received 92-point scores from the Spectator and Enthusiast.
