2007 Los Carneros Pinot Noir
Named Food & Wine Magazine Great 2010 Value! Gold Medal Winner at 2010 Denver International Wine Competition
Aromas of strawberry and creamy raspberry with hints of earth. On the palate, this wine sings with vibrant acidity and potent strawberry/raspberry flavors. With one foot in the new world and one in the old world, this amply packed Pinot is underscored with hints of dark chocolate and clove spice, all leading to a long finish of soft tannins and lingering berry fruit.
The grapes were picked late at night and hand-sorted before a gentle de-stemming and 5+ days of cold soak. Aged in oak for 9 months in 33% new French cooperage, the rest all 1- to 3-year-old barrels.
