Dear Friend,
Last year winemaker Sam and I found a great sparkling wine producer located in the South of France in Provence. We were stunned by their whole line and for the holidays may do something with their higher-end offerings. For this Spring, however, we opted to bring in some incredible values - a sparkling Brut (Chardonnay) and sparkling Rosé (Pinot Noir) at...drumroll please...$7/bottle.
These are terrific little values and lovely sparklers for everyday entertaining. Think brunch bellinis or Easter mimosas. Also perfect for weddings, graduations, and any event that deserves a celebration. In our house, we like 308 and 309 as just great, everyday pairing wines. Nothing tastes better after a long day at the office. So, here is the scoop on these big, little sparklers.
Lot 308 Brut Rosé is a very friendly, fruit forward Rosé with flavors of fresh strawberry & Bing cherry fruit on the palate. Not an overly yeasty sparkling, with great texture and a round mouth-feel. Finishes with clean mousse flavor and nice acidity. This is a very fruit-driven sparkling wine that will compliment anything you serve with it.
Lot 309 Blanc de Blancs is an incredible sparkling wine with all the great character of Cava or Prosecco. The texture is lovely, with intense flavors of green apple and fig. On the mid-palate there are notes of buttery brioche and hazelnut that are all swept clean with a bright, lively finish. Made in the Charmat process using 100% Chardonnay.
As always, if you have any questions regarding these, or any of our other wines, please don't hesitate to call us at 1-800-805-1971 or email us. We are always happy to hear from you. |
