Howdy Folks,
Today’s releases both hail from two of our top winery partners and just in time for the holidays. The Lot 292 2010 Santa Ynez Syrah was made by a winemaker famous for Rhône Varietals who hasn't scored anything less than 90 points from Parker or Tanzer on any Syrah he has made since the '90s. The same producer as Lot 205 and 135 (featured in the Wall Street Journal), this wine shows top winemaking technique with an incredible vintage. If you like big, complex central coast Syrah, it doesn’t get much better than this.
The Lot 310 2010 Lodi Zinfandel comes from our top vineyard partner in Lodi and we couldn’t be more excited about the 2010 vintage. The cooler harvest-season temperatures allowed longer hang time and the warm fall made for terrific harvest overall. In fact, the 2010 vintage in Lodi is probably the best vintage they’ve had in decades. The good vintage coupled with this producer’s state-of-the art sustainable facility in Lodi making small lots allows us the opportunity to deliver this outstanding wine to you for only $11.
What makes these wines an incredible deal is that not only are they made by respected producers in their appellations, but they reflect the cooler vintage with terrific complexity, juicy acidity and plenty of structure. I recommend decanting both wines for at least 30 minutes at this youthful juncture.
If you have any questions about these or any of our other wines, please feel free to email us or call us at 1-800-805-1971. We are always happy to help you with your order or simply discuss the wines.
